Overview
A drive down the whole Aegean side of Turkey, from Istanbul to the Lycian coast at Fethiye. The route links the great classical sites in order: Troy and the Gallipoli peninsula near the Dardanelles, Pergamon above Bergama, and Ephesus near Selçuk.
Inland, the white travertines of Pamukkale and the ruins of Hierapolis are paired with Aphrodisias, the city of Aphrodite. The trip ends by the sea, at the Blue Lagoon of Ölüdeniz below Babadağ mountain.
